I
To the Marginalized & Forgotten
To Nakulu Mutinta nemisepela pamakasa โ the poor in our compounds and villages who rise before the sun to hustle for survival. You are not invisible. You deserve more than speeches about 'economic growth.' You deserve clean water, affordable food, decent wages, safe homes, and a government that meets you where you live.
II
To the Struggling Middle Class
To the teachers, nurses, technicians, drivers, shopkeepers, artisans, and civil servants โ you carry the nation, yet the nation has not carried you. We will rebuild the middle class through tax relief, fair pay, stronger jobs, and systems that reward effort, not connections.
III
To the Business Community & Entrepreneurs
Your success is national success. This Social Contract guarantees a stable, transparent, predictable economy, where government is not an obstacle but a partner โ where opportunities are open to every Zambian with an idea and the courage to try.
IV
To the Mining Sector & Industrial Workforce
Your labor powers the nation. Mining will not be an enclave; it will be an engine. Local beneficiation, value chains, fair compensation, and community development will define the future. No Zambian should live poor on rich soil.
V
To the Civil Servant
We see your silent battles โ politicization, salary distortions, poor tools, unclear mandates. This Social Contract restores professionalism, merit, fair pay, digital systems, and dignity to your work. We will not allow your careers to be destroyed by politics or patronage ever again.
VI
To the Police, Defense Forces & Security Agencies
You deserve honor, not exploitation. This Social Contract promises better equipment, fair compensation, decent housing, mental health support, and a politics-free chain of command. Your loyalty to the Republic will be matched by the Republic's loyalty to you.
VII
To the Church, Faith Leaders & Civil Society
Your voice matters. It should never be silent, intimidated, or co-opted. This Social Contract protects your right to speak truth to power, to advocate for the vulnerable, and to guide the nation toward justice, compassion, and unity.
VIII
To Fellow Opposition Leaders
You are not enemies; you are patriots. We extend a hand of cooperation, not conquest. Democracy is not about silencing rivals; it is about empowering citizens. We pledge politics without persecution, competition without cruelty, and leadership without fear.
IX
To the Youth, Authors of the Future
To young Zambians โ creators, dreamers, hustlers, graduates, the jobless, the innovators โ you deserve a future that lifts you, not traps you. We will build an economy where your talent, not your connections, determine your destiny.
X
To Every Zambian Citizen
This is your country. You are the rightful owners of its wealth, institutions, and future. You will not be ruled; you will be represented. You will not be managed; you will be empowered.
XI ยท XII ยท The Pledge
"Hope cannot be deferred any longer. We pledge to return power to its rightful owners โ you, the people of Zambia โ so that together, we can become the Zambia our children deserve."
This is our Social Contract. This is our promise. This is Zambia's next chapter โ written with you, for you, and because of you.
